This is an SKS from Albania. There were only about 18,000 of these made, and of those, approximately half were destroyed. They were made from the late 60's until 1978. This particular gun was made in 1968. Its unique features are the AK-47 style charging handle and the extra-long upper handguard. The gun arrived packed in about 60 pounds of cosmoline, and it took me about 6 hours to get it detail stripped and completely cleaned and oiled. It seems fairly accurate, and like all SKS rifles, is fun to shoot.
